Four Decades

40 Years of Action for Clean Water

Healthy Schools, Healthy Towns

girldandelionNew Jersey Environmental Federation is urging New Jersey municipalities and counties to become Healthy School, Healthy Towns by adopting several policies that help reduce toxins, clean the air, reduce global warming, and protect public health. We are working with the Sustainable Jersey program to help implement these policies statewide, including:

  1. Pesticide Free Zones
  2. Green Cleaning
  3. Idle Free New Jersey

Success Stories

For the past 20 years, NJEF's successful organizing efforts have led to concrete results. To date we have helped hundreds of towns implement successful green programs. For a list of these towns view our Healthy Schools Healthy Towns Leaders fact sheet.
