Clean Water Action and Sustainable Jersey City are urging organizations to sign on to our letter to the NJ Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) on the renewal of the Title V Operating Permit for Diversified Global Group (DG3) in Jersey City.

The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has issued a Notice of Public Hearing for the renewal of the Title V Operating Permit for DG3.

DG3 has been identified as a significant source of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and hazardous air pollutants (HAPs), posing severe threats to air quality and public health.

The facility releases 1.9 tons of Ethylene Glycol annually, a substance known for its detrimental impact on the central nervous system, heart, kidney, and potential fatality.

DG3 consistently exceeds emissions limits, which has the ability to increase the risks associated with respiratory issues, irritation of the eyes, nose, and throat, and increasing the risk of diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, lung cancer, asthma, breast cancer, pancreatic cancer, and liver cancer.

Please sign our letter to DEP asking for immediate action to address the environmental hazards posed by DG3. Your signature supports our demand for a healthier future, protecting our community from air pollution's harmful effects!
