Bre is a program assistant with our Philadelphia office, where she acts as the bridge between our program organizing and our canvass team. She represents our organization in the Fossil Free SEPTA Alliance, fighting for a zero-carbon transportation system. She has a B.S. in geology from Dickinson college, and a M.S in geochemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Before turning to activism, Bre was an interdisciplinary scientist, studying and researching in the fields of biogeochemistry, stable isotope geochemistry, climate science, astrobiology and Precambrian geology. While she was a researcher, she worked with NASA to create and lead a number of public outreach activities, and she succeeded in a number of science communication competitions. It is Bre’s understanding of current environmental issues paired with her passion for science communication that has inspired her transition into activism.
