Don’t let the Pennsylvania Senate block climate action

Oil and gas operations

Despite President Trump’s disastrous decision to pull out the Paris Climate Accords, states across the country remain committed to working to address climate change and protect public health. Governor Wolf is leading the charge in Pennsylvania by pushing measures to address methane emissions from new oil and gas operations.

Some legislators in the state senate however are attempting to derail this effort by pushing a bill (SB 175) that would prevent Pennsylvania from setting methane pollution standards that are stronger than the Trump Administration’s. Swing votes in the state senate are still on the fence about this legislation. Email your senator today and tell them to stand in opposition to SB 175!
