Urge your town to pass a local plastics ordinance

Plastic pollution is devastating our waterways and impacting public health and climate. New Jersey could be the next state to take a huge step towards reducing this impact by banning single-use plastic bags and Styrofoam food containers, as well as offer straws only on demand.

The more towns and cities that pass local bans on items like these, the closer we will get to passing this bill at the state level. Over 20 towns have already passed these ordinances and even more are pending!

Take Action - Let's Go Reusable!

Please contact your local officials to let them know you would like to see a single-use plastics ordinance in your hometown!

Bans and fees on single-use items are effective in changing business practices by providing an incentive for customers to reduce and reuse.
