New Jersey Solar Farms Offer Big Consumer Savings
A majority of Clean Water Action members tell us they’d be willing to pay a small amount extra each month to be able to get their electricity from clean solar energy, generated locally, near where they live.

Why I was glad to answer the phone
As part of the team that helps put together the letters and emails we send to our members, I’m also fortunate to get the occasional phone call from someone with a question, concern or compliment.

How to Join #GivingTuesdayNow to Support Clean Water
Clean Water Action and Clean Water Fund are joining with other nonprofits to mobilize a national day of giving. Ordinarily, this event happens in late November or early December but the need for action is too urgent to wait.
#GivingTuesdayNow May 5, 2020, spotlights the work of great 501-c-3 nonprofits like Clean Water Fund.

Why do you keep asking me for money?
We get asked this question a lot – even more frequently of late. You deserve some answers.
In ordinary times, Clean Water Action sends out 2 or 3 fundraising (or fundraising-related) appeals each month. Most frequently, this is done by email. We may also call you on the phone, send you a letter in the mail, or (pre-COVID-19) visit you at home when one of our teams is out knocking on doors in your neighborhood.

At Home with Clean Water
As I’m writing this from my home office, my lone coworker, Woodie, has gotten tired of warming my feet and wants to go outside to play. I’ll be right back!
OK! A few minutes outside was nice. Good call, Woodie!

Letters and emails from Clean Water Action?
Like many nonprofits, many of our most important communications with our members are planned out many weeks in advance – a much longer timeframe than the rapid pace with which the COVID-19 pandemic is spreading.
This means, chances are, you have received one or more communications that were written “before.” Here’s what we would like you to know, now:
All of us here at Clean Water Action sincerely hope you and your family are healthy and remain so.

UPDATE: Patagonia exhausted the match. Thank you to all who doubled their donation for clean water!
Outdoor gear manufacturer Patagonia has laid down an exciting challenge for Clean Water supporters. Between now and the end of the year, the company is making up to $10 million available to match donations made to environmental nonprofits Patagonia has supported in the past. Clean Water Fund is on that list.
