Update

As a Clean Water Action member or supporter, we know you care about our water and climate. That’s why we vet and endorse candidates for office that reflect your values and priorities. There are big changes coming to the Michigan legislature and US Congress. You’ll have your first opportunity to influence those changes by voting in the August 2nd Primary for the candidate you wish to see advance to the general election. Michigan is losing a seat in Congress and so you may be represented by someone new. That’s why it is important to understand the changes, educate yourself and vote!

The first thing to find out is what State House, State Senate, and Congressional district you now live in.  Every ten years, based on census data, new district lines are drawn in every state. Michigan completed its redistricting process at the end of 2021. The Primary will decide which 2 major party candidates have enough votes to move on to the General Election on Tuesday, November 8th, 2022.

To make sure you’re registered to vote, find out your new district information, request an absentee ballot and learn more about your voting rights, please visit mi.gov/vote. For questions or problems registering to vote, obtaining an absentee ballot, or polling place problems go to MichiganVoting.org for non-partisan assistance and resources (with information in English, Spanish, Arabic, and Bengali).

For a full list of our endorsed candidates, please see below. Make sure to check back as we will endorse additional candidates through the summer and into the fall. Interested in taking the next step? Sign up to volunteer here.
