Clean Water Action Endorses Adam Dreher for Michigan’s 22nd State Senate District

LANSING- Today, Clean Water Action announced its endorsement of Adam Dreher for the Michigan State Senate.

“Now more than ever, Michigan needs lawmakers who are willing to fight for our Great Lakes, and willing to fight for Michigan residents instead of corporate polluters," said Mary Brady-Enerson, Clean Water Action Michigan Director. "Adam Dreher understands the value of protecting our Great Lakes, and has consistently stood up to corporate polluters to protect our environment and public health. We’re confident that in the State Senate, Adam will champion strong policies that protect our Great Lakes and public health,” concluded Brady-Enerson.

This is Dreher’s first time running for elected office, but he is not new to public service. Adam served two tours in Iraq with the US Army, and has done extensive volunteer work to support and improve his community. He is running against current State House Representative Lana Theis who voted to give corporate polluters oversight of the Department of Environmental Quality and voted to prohibit Michigan from having any environmental protections stricter than federal minimums.

“Adam’s environmental priorities include rebuilding our crumbling water infrastructure, increasing transparency and accountability at the DEQ, and eliminating harmful for-profit water withdrawals from corporations like Nestle. This is the kind of leadership that we need to have in Lansing,” said Brady-Enerson. “We are proud to endorse his campaign for the 22nd State Senate district and look forward to working with him as a senator. The choice is clear – Adam Dreher for Michigan State Senate.”
