Clean Water Action Endorses Jody LaMacchia for Michigan’s 46th State House District
LANSING- Today, Clean Water Action announced its endorsement of Jody LaMacchia for the Michigan State House.
“Jody LaMacchia understands the importance of protecting our water and ensuring that all Michigan residents have safe, clean, affordable water to drink," said Mary Brady-Enerson, Clean Water Action Michigan Director. "She can be trusted to stand up for our Great Lakes and make Michigan a leader in addressing the climate crisis,” concluded Brady-Enerson.
In the general election, LaMacchia will be facing current State House Representative John Reilly who received a “Negative” score on Clean Water Action’s 2019 Legislative Scorecard, and had a 0% environmental and democracy voting record on Clean Water Action’s 2018 Lame Duck Scorecard. LaMacchia plans to prioritize rebuilding our water infrastructure and protecting public health. Her opponent on the other hand voted to keep polluter panels in place which give corporations oversight of the Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy.
“We need more strong leaders like Jody LaMacchia in the State House. She can be trusted to advocate for her constituents and the water resources on which we all rely,” said Brady-Enerson. “We are proud to endorse her campaign for the 46th State House district and look forward to working with her as a representative. The choice is clear – Jody LaMacchia for Michigan State House.”
