Clean Water Action Endorses Mallory McMorrow for Michigan’s 13th State Senate District
LANSING- Today, Clean Water Action announced its endorsement of Mallory McMorrow for the Michigan State Senate.
“Mallory McMorrow is a forward-thinking leader who understands and values the unique role that Michigan has in protecting over 20% of the world’s fresh surface water in the Great Lakes," said Mary Brady-Enerson, Clean Water Action Michigan Director. "Now more than ever, we need leaders in Lansing who will work to ensure that we address water contamination issues, and are able to provide clean, affordable drinking water to every Michigan resident,” concluded Brady-Enerson.
McMorrow is running against incumbent State Senator Marty Knollenberg. In his current term, Knollenberg voted in favor of bills that would prevent Michigan from having any drinking water standards that are stronger than federal minimums, and create industry-stacked oversight panels that could overrule the Department of Environmental Quality.
“Protecting our water resources is a key issue for Michigan residents, and we know we can count on Mallory McMorrow to advocate for responsible policies in Lansing that will protect our water now, and for generations to come,” said Brady-Enerson. “We are proud to endorse her campaign for the 13th State Senate district and look forward to working with her as a senator. The choice is clear – Mallory McMorrow for Michigan State Senate.”
