LANSING- Today, Clean Water Action announced its endorsement of Padma Kuppa for the Michigan State House.

“Through her first term in office, Representative Kuppa has been a leader in protecting our water resources," said Mary Brady-Enerson, Clean Water Action Michigan Director. "She has consistently advocated to hold polluters accountable and is a powerful advocate for addressing the climate crisis through her role on the House Energy Committee,” concluded Brady-Enerson.

In her first year in office, Representative Kuppa co-sponsored legislation to repeal Michigan’s No Stricter Than Federal law, and also co-sponsored bills to strengthen public trust protections for surface and groundwater. She also received a top“positive” rating on Clean Water Action’s midterm scorecard.

“Representative Kuppa has consistently shown that she is ready and willing to advocate for her constituents and do what is necessary to protect our Great Lakes,” said Brady-Enerson. “We are proud to endorse her campaign today and we are excited to continue working with her to protect our most precious natural resource. The choice is clear – Padma Kuppa for Michigan State House.”
