Washington, DC -- On the eve of the Biden administration’s hundredth day in office, President Biden gave a joint address to Congress.

Clean Water Action’s National Campaigns Director, Lynn Thorp, released the following statement:

“The President’s address was packed with concrete ideas and programs that will create change for the nation, not just talking points. From protecting drinking water to tackling the climate crisis to ending white supremacy and rooting out institutional racism, the President focused on what matters. We welcome the emphasis on getting lead out of drinking water, and the commitment  to back that up with  significant federal investment. We look forward to engaging with the administration to advance these ambitious goals.”
