Clean Water Action/Clean Water Fund seeks a full-time organizer for civic engagement, community organizing, and advocacy to stop fracking and other oil and gas drilling in the Central Valley of California. Clean Water Action is a national citizens’ organization working for clean, safe and affordable water, prevention of health-threatening pollution, creation of environmentally-safe jobs and businesses, and empowerment of people to make democracy work. Clean Water Fund organizes strong grassroots groups, coalitions and campaigns to protect our environment, health, economic well-being and community quality of life.

Michigan Clean Water Action is looking for university/college level student interns who are interested in environmental issues and/or non-profit work. We are looking for students who are motivated and organized to help us with different aspects of environmental protection. Interns will have the opportunity to plan local events, write blogs and letters to the editor, and organize volunteers for a variety of tasks. Interns will also work with policy and campaign staff to ensure that legislative representatives make Michigan’s environment a priority for 2013.
