Clean Water Fund and Clean Water Action in Minnesota will be hiring a Program Coordinator to develop and implement the organization's water campaigns in Minnesota. We are seeking an energetic and experienced candidate with a policy and advocacy background. Our current water campaigns cover a broad set of issues including enforcement of existing laws, reducing agricultural pollution, protecting the Great Lakes, stopping invasive species and protecting drinking water sources.
Our Field and Phone canvass programs include extensive training and work on environmental issues and politics, grassroots lobbying, organizing and fundraising, solid leadership and rapid advancement to leadership positions.
Clean Water Action/Clean Water Fund seeks a full-time program associate to help implement its ReThink Disposable campaign (www.rethinkdisposable.org). The campaign focuses on reducing the use of single-use disposable products by engaging local government, business, and consumers in reducing trash generation at the source. Clean Water Action is a national citizens’ organization working for clean, safe and affordable water, prevention of health-threatening pollution, creation of environmentally-safe jobs and businesses, and empowerment of people to make democracy work. Clean Water Fund organizes strong grassroots groups, coalitions and campaigns to protect our environment, health, economic well-being and community quality of life.

Michigan Clean Water Action is looking for university/college level student interns who are interested in environmental issues and/or non-profit work. We are looking for students who are motivated and organized to help us with different aspects of environmental protection. Interns will have the opportunity to plan local events, write blogs and letters to the editor, and organize volunteers for a variety of tasks. Interns will also work with policy and campaign staff to ensure that legislative representatives make Michigan’s environment a priority for 2013.
