Your employer may match donations to Clean Water Fund. Check below!

Many companies will match employees’ charitable donations to encourage generous giving, which can double or even triple the value of the donation!

To qualify, your initial gift must be made payable to Clean Water Fund, a 501(c)(3) non-profit — most employers will NOT match gifts to Clean Water Action. Then you just have to fill out a form provided by your employer, and Clean Water Fund will verify your gift with them.

Matching Gifts FAQ

How do I request a matching gift?

Requesting a matching gift is normally a five minute process which must be initiated by the donor. You can do this by filling out and submitting a paper match form provided by your employer, or through an electronic submission process.

Please search our database using the field above for company-specific information.

How is this information obtained?

We partner with a company called Double the Donation to maintain the database of companies with matching gifts programs. If you see anything that should be changed, please email Double the Donation's team at data@doublethedonation.com

What if I still have questions?

For questions regarding your company's programs, please contact your employer's HR or community giving department. Much of the necessary information is also likely available on your company intranet.

For questions or assistance in submitting a matching gift request to us, please contact us at development@cleanwater.org.

Workplace Giving

Clean Water Fund is available as a giving or gift-matching option on all of the leading employer-sponsored giving platforms, including Benevity, YourCause, CyberGrants, Charites Aid Foundation, certain United Way-affiliated campaigns, and the Combined Federal Campaign, among others.

In addition, Clean Water Fund helped to co-found and remains active in the leadership of Earth Share, which represents environmental and conservation nonprofits in the Combined Federal Campaign and in various state-based campaigns. This giving option makes it easy for government employees (and retirees) to make donations by payroll deduction.

Please contact us at development@cleanwater.org for assistance with your gift, or if you’re interested in learning more about workplace giving and corporate gift-matching programs.
