Clean energy belongs to us all, but unequal access to resources like solar, a key part of our renewable energy future, show us we have a long way to go. Clean Water Action is fighting to ensure all communities have access to renewable power and the green economy.
Together, we achieved our goal and sent a loud message to restore Energy Efficiency and Clean Energy Funds!
In 2017, Connecticut’s General Assembly made an outrageous and short-sighted decision to raid $145 million dollars of energy efficiency and clean energy funds and sweep them into the state’s general fund to help plug a fiscal crisis.
As the legislative session opens in Connecticut, the lay of the land looks the same as last year, except with some promising differences that are largely the results of grassroots action taken by our members and allies.
UPDATE: Join us at the Massachusetts State House 5/3 for a hearing and rally.* RSVP here.
We are at an incredible moment. Yesterday, Kinder Morgan announced they are suspending work on their massive, multi-billion dollar fracked gas pipeline proposal. This is a huge victory for New England, for Clean Water Action and for our many partners who have fought the project for years.
